Farmers undertaking development activities in Geta Woreda

Wolkite, June 21 (GICD) - Over 3,000 farmers drawn from Selassie Sabola, Senen and Korefcha kebeles in Geta Woreda of Gurage Zone have begun executing development activities.

Farmers involved in the development works said they have launched practical activities to bring real change in the millennium and achieve the development goals designed by the government.

The construction of a six-block school which would enable their children to access education within their reach is among the development projects being carried out by the farmers.

Woreda Chief Administrator, Haile Dewi,said the public have been undertaking exemplary activities in collaboration with the woreda administration in education, health and other development sectors. 

Preparations have been made to observe the millennium colorfully,Haile said, adding that seedlings have also been nurtured and transplantation areas designated.
